What is Calcium Guconate Gel used for?

Calcium Gluconate Gel is an emergency first aid treatment for hydrofluoric acid burns on skin. Calcium Gluconate Gel neutralises the fluoride ions in hydrofluoric acid with calcium ions. 

Calcium Gluconate Gel should be included in any first aid kit where exposure to battery acid is possible. Also check your Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to see if Calcium Gluconate is a recommended inclusion for your first aid kit.
